Finding New Recipe's
*Lately I've been getting really excited about cooking and baking. Last weekend i made the most delicious banana coffee cake w/ chocolate chips. IT. WAS. AMAZING. Thanks are in order to Megan over at sweet n low for the recipe! I want to start trying new and healthy foods and am going to try to make a yummy dinner at least once a week, that doesn't sound like much but i work nights and usually end up eating cereal or whatever is around when i get home from work ;)

Realizing It's the Little Simple Things That Matter
*A few days ago i made a list of the things i want/want to do. There were a few material items on the list, but what made me really happy was seeing that 80% of the list was made up of FREE things/actvities/ actions.

The Return of Nip/Tuck & Big Love
*Oh how i just adore these shows!! Nip/Tuck provides, sexy men(there is a distinct possibility that i have entertained very private thoughts involving Dr. Christian Try hehe) along with endless drama and sometimes it makes me laugh like a hyena! Big Love is just so captivating, i can't help but be drawn into the strange, strange world of that big family.

I heart how deleriously happy this little kitty looks!

"Fat", "Skinny"... How About Happy & Healthy?

A few days ago I stumbled upon a blog called "The Skinny Website", if you've never heard of it, it's a blog where they obsess over whether or not a celebrity has recently gained or lost a few pounds. These pictures of Jessica Simpson were posted:

Now I think she is a BEAUTIFUL girl with an amazing body. I do think the pants and belt are a tad too tight and unflattering. Maybe she has gained like 5 pounds or something insignificant like that.

The comments people left about these pictures made me sick.

Numerous people said she looked "fat" , "unhealthy" & she had " let herself go" , can they really be serious?

It is SO sad how obsessed we all are about weight, myself included.

Lately I've been a little stressed out and find myself worried about gaining weight, but if i gained a few pounds..... would it really be so bad? Would my life be over ? No,I'd still be me, and i should be happy with who i am as long as I'm healthy. Why do we all find it so hard to be happy with ourselves?

My goal is to stop worrying about insignificant things like calories consumed and pounds on my waist and instead focus on how good i feel after a workout and how strong i am.

Do you have any tips on blocking the "mean" voices in your head that criticize what you eat or "tell you" you might gain weight?

Are you as sick of the obsession as i am?

It's mid winter & i feel the need to pamper myself.

Sooo, I'm on the lookout for a fabulous, yummy smelling body scrub that will leave my skin silky smooth.
(haha, have you seen Don't Mess With The Zohan??)

Preferably one that is not toooo expensive.

Shrek :The Musical * Rob got us tickets for Saturday night! We are sitting sixth row, right in the center; obviously I'm super excited :)

Finding New Blogs * Almost everyday i stumble upon a new interesting blog, i have way too much fun with this!

Kitty Capers

My cats tend to be extra crazy during the early morning hours, today was no exception. Gizmo was the leader in this morning's antics. First he led an expedition exploring under the tablecloth on the dining room table. Then he flew across the house into the living room where he proceeded to CLIMB up the brand new curtains ( my yelling did not deter him). Finally he noticed a freshly folded comforter placed down neatly on the couch, this was no place for a just washed comforter he decided. I looked on as he began the process of knocking it off the sofa and finagling ( is that a word?) himself into a cozy position.

Please ignore the ugly pattern, it is not mine ;).At present time, this is still where Gizmo and the comforter lay, smack in the middle of the living room floor.Somehow, the worse his behavior, the cuter i find him; why do you suppose this is??

Getting a Massage Today! * Rob suggested we get massages so i called last night and luckily nabbed two appointments for us at noon, wooohooo :)

Working Out * Since we joined the gym we've been going almost every morning, i really love how it kickstarts my day!

Looking Foward to Friday Night * Going on a double date w/ my bestie Jen (the bookmark maker) and her boyfriend Matt. We are having drinks at a really nice bar/restaurant called Honu, they make the most AMAZING coconut martinis, they put honey on the rim of the glass and then dip it in toasted cocunut mmmm... SUPER excited about this!!

The Future * Im still really enjoying planning for the future, it seems that my idea of " my future" may be arriving sooner than i thought ;)

Bookmarks Made w/ Lovies

My wonderful and fabulous friend Jennifer came over with two lovely surprises for me last night:

She chose quotes from my blog and knowing how much i heart reading, made me two beautiful bookmarks! She is incredibly crafty and has made gorgeous scrapbooks for all of our friends. (Although the one i have is from her beginning days, i would absolutely adore an updated one *hint hint*.)

I decided to start putting one to good use this morning and began reading " Names My Sisters Call Me" by Megan Crane, it seems cute so far. Have any of your read it? If so did ya like it?

Tonight Rob and I are going into the city to see The Fantastiks, im really excited, i hope its good :)

We are supposed to be getting a bunch of snow tonight which puts a bit of a damper on my plans to wear cute shoes....

Dinner, Pretty Pumps & Eggs in a Basket

Hello from Columbus, Georgia! Last night i went to a formal dinner with Rob and we had a really nice time, i was finally able to wear the lovely grey ruffled t- strap pumps i blogged about a few weeks ago! They looked super cute, i don't think i got a good picture of them which just means i'll have to wear them again real soon :)

This is a pic i had someone snap with my cell phone, when i get home i'll post a few more from my camera.

This morning we went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast, i tryed the eggs in a basket that my friend Erin always raves about, YUMYUMYUM!

Rob's been on post all morning so i went and had a long needed pedicure and browsed around a few cute little boutiques.I stumbled upon an adorable little shoe store and saw the flats i've had on my thisnext wish list... all i can say is good thing i had wet toenails or my credit card may have been abused.Maybe i can go back later with Rob...... ;)

People are ridicuolusy polite here, i heart it!
