my invisible love

ok here goes.

Alot of you answered love; I'm not surprised. I agree it is the most wonderful of the "invisibles".

The love i have for Rob is stronger then anything i ever thought possible.
I trust him more than i trust myself.
He is my BEST FRIEND.
How could i not be ecstatic about marrying my best friend?
I look foward to coming home at night to a boy all cuddled up in bed, watching family guy or the Yankee game.
He acts like an excited 3 year old, when i walk in the bedroom, my heart bursts with "happies" every.single.time.
We've been friends for years.
We were "part time" best friends at work.
I wished deep down inside that one day he would be mine, this perfect, giving, sweet, caring, loving, understanding, funny, sillly boy.
I thought of how wonderful it would feel to be his girlfriend.
I "witnessed" (or overheard) him being treated terribly in his past relationship.
He was taken for granted; he was yelled at & ridiculous demands were placed upon him.
It hurt my heart to hear the frustration, hurt & anger in his voice during the many phone calls i overheard.
I knew i would never take him for granted.
His love is unconditional and stronger than ANYTHING i have ever know.
I knew that i would appreciate every second of time we would spend together "if" we ever got together.
He accepts every part of me (even the not so great parts).
I truly believe that we have taught each other how strong love can be.
I look foward to every tiny step and big leap we will take together into the future.
EVERTHING.
I even look foward to "fighting" over duvet covers & couches ;)
I used to think i did not want to marry a very "handsome" man, i thought i would be worried that other women would be "after him".
I laugh at this old thought now.
I know he would never hurt me, hurting me would hurt him to much.
The mean, scary monster that is jealousy has never stepped foot into our relationship.
We scoff at this monsters exsistence in way to many relationships.
That monster does not belong in ANY relationship, romantic or friendship.
Jealousy is not love.
Jealously kills love.

Our love is and always will be my favorite invisible.
Rob, I know you'll be reading this later (bc i'll tell you too! hehe).
Know that i mean every word i have written here.
I feel so much more than i have the writing abilities to express.
I know that i will never ever NEED another thing in my entire life.
I am so lucky.

  • Listening to Sheryl Crow - Really, really listening. Her lyrics are beautiful, honest and inspiring.
  • My Theories of Personalities Class- i love it, i'm the annoying girl who can't shut up in class ( i can't help it, i enjoy "actively" participating)
  • The return of .... DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES!! ;)
  • PB & Jelly sammies. Have you guys tried those lil premade round ones? yummmmm. i just wish they came in a whole wheat variety!
  • Blog Friends- Is it weird that i feel so connected with alot of you girls and wish we could be friends "in real life"? I know this is real life, but, i mean like in person, lets go shopping and have lunch, kind of friends :).
  • Almost every night when i come home from work, Rob has my pj's waiting for me, folded on the bed :).
  • Painting my own nails & toes- I used to waste sO MUCH money at the nails salon, i have recently rediscovered the joy ( and $ saving) of doing it myself.
  • My friend Melissa's wedding- It was absolutely beautiful, i felt much happier and more emotional than i expected, standing up there as one of her bridesmaids. We've been friends since the sixth grade..... I'm proud to say i have amazing friends from my childhood. I NEVER want to let them go.
Tell me, tell me, what do you love today???

Today's Thursday Lovies

Honey Bunches of Oats w/ almonds, I'm currently on my second bowl ;)

Realizing how much "vanity sizing" is going on. Seriously, I measured my waist yesterday, it is 26 inches yet half of the jeans I own are size 24's. (I also own 26's and 27's, they all fit EXACTLY the same way)Do they think they need to lie to me to get me to buy the jeans? I think this just make girls obsess more about getting down to the tiniest size. (Which in most cases is unattainable & super unhealthy!)

My cats. Oh my, I'm going to miss them SO much. I told my mom the other day that it will be harder to leave the cats than it will be to leave my family & friends. Before you start thinking I'm completely nuts, wait for my reason.......I can talk to my family on the phone all the time and still feel connected, I can't exactly have phone convo's w/ my kitty siblings. Perhaps we can skype?

Thinking about new, fun ways to wear last years fall clothes (& the few items I may or may not have purchased recently). My shopping addiction is ending RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW. (at least for a little while) I promised Rob last night. I have to realize it's not just about me anymore. I have to think about us; we have a HUGE move coming up. I need to start being a tad bit more responsible (& perhaps less selfish) & saving. Ya know, so maybe i can contribute more than my cuteness to our new apartment. ;)

I can't wait to get the sweater and belt I ordered from Anthro yesterday. I'll post pics when they arrive. :)
(They were on sale, it was my last hurrah, sue me.)

things i love thursday

1- (almost) every night i come home from work to a super yummy dinner made by Rob. (i don't get home from work till 9:30 or later so he's in charge of dinner) :)

2- Squirrel's (my cat) nightly ritual of circling around the bed w/ her seahorse toy, making very strange meows/yelps.This must be done every night prior to cuddling up with us.

3- That im in my last semeseter of school & im pretty excited about all of my classes. I can not wait to (finally) receive my diploma. :)

4-My engagement ring, it's yellow gold w/ a pear shaped diamond; exactly what i wanted. I can't believe i haven't posted a picture of it on here yet; i will have to work on that!

5-That i had the best time @ an all day wine tasting trip with all of my girlfriends last saturday, for my friendly Melissa's bachleorette party! (no skeevy strippers for us; we have class! haha)

6- I finally started reading My Dog Tulip. Krystal @ Village made me want to read it, after posting the most hysterical video about it!

7-My future mother -in -law (yess i actually like my future M-I-L, she's super fun) & her Boyfriend are coming to visit this weekend. We have tons of fun things planned; A Yankee game, picnic & wandering around the city. I need to see all of the "sights" i've never seen (even though i've lived on long island for 26 years) before our big move!

8- Thinking about our big move & all the exciting furniture we are going to buy. Yup i'm sooooooooo excited about furniture. I'm also pretty darn excited about buying gain laundry detergent; it smells sooooooooo good!! hehe. You can think i'm weird; i don't mind :).

I'm pretty sure you will all be envious...

i have my very own personal eyebrow shaper.
His name is Rober. :)

Last night Rob and i were lying in bed, as he lovingly gazed into my eyes (ha) he decided it was time to pluck my eyebrows. It was the very first time he's ever done this for me and it was actually quite relaxing, except for one tiny little pinch.
I must say, he did an excellent job.

He also informed me that i had one little "whisker" he could take care of for me.

Now if that's not love i don't know what is.

sweet surprise

Photobucket

Jane Green is one of my FAVORITE Authors.

Wednesday night she did a book signing in Huntington.

I work evenings so i wasn't able to go....

After work that night i walked into my bedroom to find a little wrapped package on my bed.

I tore into it to find that it was my copy of Dune Road SIGNED by Jane Green with a sweet little personal message inside!!

My super amazing boyfriend went to the book signing for me :)

He must love me a whole lot to spend the evening at a "chic lit" book signing/reading, don't ya think?!

He's a keeper ;)
Photobucket

p.s He asked her to sign it for "lilmissfina", when she heard that she said she recognized the name because i always comment on her blog & she even knows that im a crazy cat lady!!! :):) imagine my surprise & ridiculous excitement that she knows who i am! woooohoooo

Building with Boyfriend

On a Saturday morning a few weeks ago, my boyfriend woke up and decided it was time to build a "fort". (no, he's not six, just silly!) With few quick knots on the bedpost and a little stick in the center for support, our fort was born.

This is Rocky, leisurely enjoying what im sure he felt was his own private cabana.

Doesn't he look like a little king? :)

Looky Looky What I Got!

Hello Lovelies! If you recall about a week or so ago i posted asking for help finding a handbag for Valentines Day? Well i want to say a big fat thank you very much! to everyone who offered their suggestions. Unfortunately, i could not find one i found wonderful enough to fall in love with. FORTUNATELY, my fabulous boy toy had an even better idea for a V-Day gift.... & I'm using it right now!

Yessiree, all afternoon here at "work" I've been playing with my brand-spanking-new- just-delivered-yesterday, adorable little Dell mini woooooooooooowhooooooooo :)

It' so friggen cute & tiny & lightweight.

It weighs about 2.3lbs and is less than 9 inches wide!

I'm ridiculously excited to finally have a laptop i can call my own, now i just need to hunt down an equally adorable little case for it!

Dinner, Pretty Pumps & Eggs in a Basket

Hello from Columbus, Georgia! Last night i went to a formal dinner with Rob and we had a really nice time, i was finally able to wear the lovely grey ruffled t- strap pumps i blogged about a few weeks ago! They looked super cute, i don't think i got a good picture of them which just means i'll have to wear them again real soon :)

Photobucket

This is a pic i had someone snap with my cell phone, when i get home i'll post a few more from my camera.

This morning we went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast, i tryed the eggs in a basket that my friend Erin always raves about, YUMYUMYUM!

Rob's been on post all morning so i went and had a long needed pedicure and browsed around a few cute little boutiques.I stumbled upon an adorable little shoe store and saw the flats i've had on my thisnext wish list... all i can say is good thing i had wet toenails or my credit card may have been abused.Maybe i can go back later with Rob...... ;)

People are ridicuolusy polite here, i heart it!

Ice Princess

I spent this past weekend up in Rochester with Rob and his family. I was expecting it to be really cold but it turned out to be freakishly warm (read: about 50 degrees). On Monday morning Rob and i went ice skating.

Did i mention i can't roller skate or roller blade? Needless to say my first attempts on the ice were laughable.I observed some small children learning to skate with little skating bar thingys, a large sign declared these were only for the use of children five and under, are there really no other 24 year old girls who would benefit from the assistance of a skating bar??

On top of my lack of skill, i was wearing his mom skates, we have the same size foot but hers must be really narrow because after about 5 minutes my tootsies were in severe pain!I was sooo nervous and wobbly, Rob just slowing pulled me around while little 5 years olds expertly skated past, at one point a woman skated by and said " Oh she must be from down south" ha. I've never considered Long Island to be " down south" but i guess to the skilled skaters that inhabit the Rochester area it appeared that i had possibly never seen snow or ice before ;).

While we were sitting down with some hot chocolate a lovely lady came over and told us her 13 year old daughter thought we were the cutest couple and hopes to be just like us one day when she starts dating.

That really made me smile big :).

As i watched Rob skate around on his own for a bit, i felt all warm, fuzzy and lovey dovey inside.

He really is the sweetest guy i have ever known, staring in his gorgeous eyes as he guided me around the rink made the pain and minor embarrassment absolutely worth it.

*I have visions of one day, gracefully and beautifully gliding across the ice on my own..... though i have a pretty good feeling they will stay just that, happy little far fetched visions in my head!

Doesn't he look so handsome in his camo?

Oh yeah...... yipppeee for finally ending the two months of celibacy!!! hehe

Two months of celibacy will soon come to an end!

Exactly two weeks from today i will finally be able to hug my boyfriend. He has been away at boot camp since July 21st. I CAN NOT WAIT! I'm going down to South Carolina for the graduation and i am already bouncy w/ excitement. Two months is quite a long time to go without being able to see your significant other. It's also quite a long time to go without other things if you catch my drift ;) You can imagine how much i am looking foward to that as well!

The process of us getting together was long and complicated but all i can say is he make's me the happiest I've ever been, EVER.
